Qld’s fastest selling suburbs for property revealed

A SMALL rural town about 160km west of Brisbane is now Queensland’s fastest selling house market.

Houses in Goombungee, north of Toowoomba, are selling, on average, in just 10 days, according to the latest REA Market Trends report.

It had a population of 786 in the 2021 census, and has a median sales price of $436,000 – more than double what it was just three years ago.

But houses in the rural town can, and do, sell even faster, with a three-bedroom home that was listed for offering over $409,000 selling for $436,000 after just seven days on the market.

Keweenaw Land Association requesting metallic minerals lease rights to 10,631 acres

UPPER PENINSULA, Mich. (WLUC) – The Keweenaw Land Association is looking to expand its mineral rights within the Upper Peninsula.

The mineral assets company wants to lease about 10,631 acres across Baraga, Dickinson, Iron, Marquette and Menominee counties. If this is approved by the DNR, this would allow the exploration for the presence of metallic minerals in those areas.

Currently, the Keweenaw Land Association owns and manages 400,000 acres of mineral rights within the Upper Peninsula.

As a part of the public comment stage of the direct leasing process, the Michigan DNR held a public information meeting on Wednesday.

Property development coming to Wycliffe Church land on Great Neck Road

VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. — Five houses will be built on the land owned by Wycliffe Presbyterian Church off Great Neck Road, Virginia Beach council approved Tuesday night.

However, getting approval was not straightforward, and in the end, a modified version of the original development plan for the land off Great Neck Road passed in a 7-4 vote.

The modifications remove the office space and the plan to fill in a pond that the developer, BHC, LLC (Bishard Development Corporation), originally proposed in addition to the five houses.

Tayebwa dismisses land grabbing claims after meeting accuser

The Deputy Speaker of Parliament, Mr Thomas Tayebwa has dismissed social media allegations that he illegally grabbed a plot of land belonging to one Esther Lubunde in Abayita Ababiri-Entebbe Municipality, Wakiso District.
