Academy Award-winning actor Cate Blanchett and her writer-director husband Andrew Upton are selling a Prahran house they have owned for almost two decades.

The famous couple has listed a three-bedroom home at 5 Trinian St with a $2.25m-$2.45m price guide.

CoreLogic records show they purchased the property for $745,000 in 2006.

Renovated by Alwill Architecture, the stylish double-level pad features two bathrooms, a stone and stainless-steel-fitted kitchen and outdoor deck.

A gate provides access to the nearby Victoria Gardens while the main bedroom includes an ensuite and doors which open to the front veranda.

Upstairs contains a sunny retreat and living area incorporating “a study nook and funky loft”, according to the listing.

Other highlights include a European laundry, heating and cooling, ceiling fans, timber and polished concrete floors, a water tank, solar panels and off-street parking.

Kay & Burton’s Rae Mano declined to comment on the property which is set to be auctioned on March 9.

Blanchett, also a producer, has starred in films including The Lord of the Rings trilogy, The Curious Case of Benjamin Button, Cinderella, Thor: Ragnarok and Ocean’s 8.

The Hollywood star has been nominated for several acting awards and won Oscars for her turns in The Aviator and Blue Jasmine, in 2005 and 2014.
